From the Sonoran Desert....

We are getting ready to do the Tubac Festival of the Arts, which is in Arizona about 40 miles south of Tucson. This is one of our favorite shows because we get to see many artist friends that live all over the U.S. and it's a place where many of them gather for a winter show. Here's one of our pieces ready for the desert.

The animals at Smokey Springs

Here are some of the animals that live at Smokey Springs Ranch.

Smokey Springs, Tucson.

This is one of our favorite places in Arizona. A wonderful getaway for relaxation and seclusion yet close enough to town and attractions for those who choose to venture out. The Casitas at Smokey Springs Ranch is owned by Bob and Beth Fulfer. Treat yourself to a special experience and plan a stay at their ranch.

Annual Alien Visit

Every year we stop at the "Space Age" resturant in Hila Bend, Arizona to dine with the Aliens. There is some pretty interesting artwork in this little establishment. Our grandsons would love it!

Talk about beautiful clouds

Finished our last California show and headed for Arizona....Look at these beautiful clouds.

A visit to the beautiful City of Cerritos Public Library

While in Pasadena our friend Klew brought us to meet her friends and hosts Wayne and Holly. We had a lovely dinner at their home and got to learn about the fabulous Cerritos Public Library that Wayne was responsible for creating. We decided to spend an extra day in the area so we could visit the library only to discover that the day we tried to visit was Martin Luther King Day and the library was closed. We toured the grounds and made a vow to visit again when we return in July for the Pasadena Bead and Design Show. Check out this photo of the outside of the building!

Chef Carl !

The other half of our gracious Tehachapi hosts......Chef and chief bottle washer, Carl. He fed us like we were royalty!

Petroglyphs for Arizona

We are getting ready to do some shows in Arizona so we're gathering up all our petroglyph pieces that feel like they could live in the southwest.
